Greater Bay Airlines Alters Seoul Route for Summer 2025

Greater Bay Airlines has revised its Hong KongSeoul schedule for the Northern Summer 2025 season. The airline’s reservation system indicates that flights will operate on select dates in April and May, with most services suspended until late October. This decision could reshape air travel between Hong Kong and South Korea.

The updated schedule includes flights on April 12, 16, 18, 21, and 22, along with May 1, 3, 5, and 6. Initially, the airline had planned daily services. However, changes in travel demand and operational priorities have likely influenced this adjustment. The airline aims to optimize its resources while maintaining key connections.

Greater Bay Airlines will operate these flights using a Boeing 737-800. HB760 will depart from Hong Kong at 10:00 and land in Seoul at 14:50. HB761 will take off from Seoul at 15:40 and arrive in Hong Kong at 18:35. Passengers looking for consistent summer flights may need to consider other options due to these changes.

This schedule revision could impact travelers and businesses relying on this route. Fewer flights may lead to increased demand for alternative carriers, potentially driving up ticket prices. Competing airlines, such as Korean Air, Asiana Airlines, Cathay Pacific, and HK Express, might adjust their operations to capture affected passengers.

Tourism in both cities may also experience temporary shifts. Fewer flights from Seoul could reduce South Korean visitor numbers in Hong Kong, affecting the local economy. Likewise, fewer direct flights from Hong Kong might slow inbound tourism to South Korea during peak travel months.

Greater Bay Airlines’ decision to resume full operations in October suggests a strategic move. The airline may expect higher demand in late 2025 and beyond. Travelers planning trips between Hong Kong and Seoul should stay informed and consider booking alternative flights early to avoid disruptions.
