Hawaiian Airlines upgrades its Honolulu to New York-JFK route with the Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner. Starting in April 2025, this change replaces the older Airbus A330 aircraft on the route. Hawaiian Airlines enhances passenger comfort and travel experience with this modern aircraft.
The new service reflects Hawaiian Airlines’ dedication to modernizing its fleet and improving customer satisfaction. The Dreamliner seats 300 passengers, including 34 business-class seats with aisle access and 266 economy seats. Passengers will enjoy better seating options and a smoother journey.
Flights depart Honolulu in the afternoon and arrive in New York early the next morning. The return leg leaves New York in the morning and lands in Honolulu by early afternoon. This schedule ensures convenience for passengers, allowing easy connections to other islands or check-ins at hotels.
Hawaiian Airlines launched this route in 2012 to strengthen its position in the New York market. The airline competes with Delta Air Lines, which also operates nonstop flights on this route. Introducing the Dreamliner boosts Hawaiian Airlines’ ability to deliver superior service on long domestic routes.
Adding the Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner highlights Hawaiian Airlines’ ambition to redefine travel experiences. The airline continues to expand its fleet and improve its services. With deliveries of additional Dreamliners planned through 2027, Hawaiian Airlines promises better journeys for all passengers.
