Iberia improves travel for people with speech and hearing impairments with a new app. In collaboration with Háblalo, Iberia offers a seamless communication tool for these passengers.
The Háblalo Iberia app enhances Iberia’s existing mobile platform. Passengers can now book flights and manage travel easily. The app’s transcription tool helps users type messages that convert to speech. It also transcribes audio messages to text, ensuring smooth communication.
To improve interaction, the app supports real-time translation in eight languages: English, French, German, Italian, Portuguese, Russian, Spanish, and Catalan. It helps users communicate without language barriers.
The app also includes pictograms for key travel needs, such as meals and emergency services. Users tap an image, and the app reads the word aloud. This makes expressing needs even easier.
Passengers can download the Háblalo Iberia app for free on Android or iOS. It works offline, offering convenience even without internet access. This initiative shows Iberia’s dedication to improving accessibility. The airline recently updated its website, adding an accessibility section with helpful resources for travelers.
