ITA Airways is embracing its heritage with a new branding initiative that pays tribute to Alitalia. Starting February 15, the airline will introduce the “Inspired by Alitalia” sticker on its latest aircraft. This move strengthens its identity while celebrating its past.
The first aircraft to showcase this branding will be an Airbus A350, operating long-haul routes. The inaugural flight with this commemorative livery will depart from Rome Fiumicino to Tokyo Haneda. By summer 2025, ITA Airways will extend this branding to an Airbus A321neo for medium-haul routes and an Airbus A220-100 for short-haul flights.
This initiative highlights ITA Airways’ commitment to honoring Italy’s aviation legacy while pushing forward with modern advancements. By integrating elements of Alitalia into its current identity, the airline reinforces its role as Italy’s flagship carrier. This approach not only strengthens brand recognition but also deepens its connection with travelers who appreciate Italy’s rich history in aviation.
Beyond aesthetics, ITA Airways continues to invest in cutting-edge aircraft, ensuring top-tier efficiency, comfort, and sustainability. The introduction of next-generation planes aligns with the company’s strategy to provide passengers with an exceptional experience while reducing environmental impact.
Through this branding initiative, ITA Airways bridges the past and future, positioning itself as the airline of choice for those who value both heritage and innovation. As the airline expands its reach and modernizes its fleet, it remains dedicated to delivering world-class service while keeping Italy’s aviation legacy alive.
