JetBlue strengthens its transatlantic network with two new routes. The airline now flies directly from Boston to both Edinburgh and Madrid, expanding its reach. These routes bring JetBlue’s total European destinations to 12.
The Boston-Edinburgh route starts on May 22, 2025, with daily flights. This route complements JetBlue’s current New York JFK-Edinburgh service. JetBlue adds this to its Boston routes, joining Delta, which also operates daily seasonal flights to the Scottish city. The A321neo aircraft will operate this route, featuring more economy seats and fewer Mint seats.
JetBlue enters Southern Europe with its new Boston-Madrid route. It will fly this route with the 138-seat A321LR. This competitive market sees JetBlue providing an affordable alternative, with premium seating available. Iberia operates a similar route with its 182-seat A321XLR, increasing the competition.
Both routes show JetBlue’s dedication to growing its European presence. The airline expands beyond its domestic and Caribbean routes, focusing on the challenging transatlantic market. Despite the difficulties in Europe, JetBlue pushes forward with new destinations and increased flight frequency.
JetBlue now offers daily flights from Boston to cities like Amsterdam, Paris, Dublin, and London. The airline’s entry into Madrid and growth in Edinburgh show its expanding European strategy. JetBlue aims to create a strong network connecting US East Coast cities to European capitals. JetBlue is determined to make an impact across the Atlantic, offering more travel options at affordable prices.
