Join Malaysia Airlines in the Green Revolution: Introducing Their Sustainable Fashion Capsule

Malaysia Airlines has partnered with Kapten Batik and the Alunan Coral Project to launch an exclusive capsule collection that focuses on sustainability. This eco-friendly collection combines fashion with a meaningful cause, raising awareness for coral conservation and marine restoration. Inspired by coral species such as Montipora foliosa and Stylophora, it highlights the airline’s ongoing commitment to environmental protection.

Coral reefs play a crucial role in maintaining marine biodiversity and protecting coastal areas. However, they face increasing threats from pollution and climate change. For local communities dependent on fishing and tourism, preserving these ecosystems is vital for their survival. Through this collaboration, Malaysia Airlines aims to educate the public about the urgent need for coral preservation while offering an opportunity to contribute to marine restoration.

The collection uses eco-certified materials like GOTS-certified organic cotton for men’s shirts and women’s dresses. Additionally, Repreve fabric made from recycled plastic bottles is used for swimwear items such as shorts and rash guards. These sustainable fabrics blend style with functionality. Furthermore, with every item sold, Malaysia Airlines plants a baby coral at the Alunan Coral Project’s reef nursery, reinforcing efforts to restore marine ecosystems.

Enrich members can also benefit by earning loyalty points. For every RM4 spent, members receive 1 Enrich Point. Items in the collection can be redeemed for as little as 7,920 points, offering customers a way to support marine conservation while enjoying eco-friendly products. This initiative underscores Malaysia Airlines’ commitment to both sustainability and customer satisfaction.

With this collection, Malaysia Airlines continues to lead the way in promoting sustainable practices. By partnering with Kapten Batik and the Alunan Coral Project, the airline takes an active role in protecting the environment. Ultimately, the collaboration merges fashion with conservation, paving the way for a greener future.
