Korean Air Celebrates 30 Years of Connecting Atlanta and Seoul

Korean Air celebrates 30 years of connecting Atlanta and Seoul. The airline has built a strong relationship between Atlanta and Seoul through excellent service and a commitment to the community.

To celebrate, Korean Air surprised the 30th passenger checking in for flight KE036 with a free round-trip economy ticket to Seoul. Passengers received a gift—a tote bag and honey from Savannah, Georgia.

The airline also hosted a dinner on December 9 in downtown Atlanta. About 100 guests, including officials, travel partners, and media representatives, attended the event to celebrate the anniversary.

Since launching on December 12, 1994, the route has connected Korea and the U.S. Originally, Korean Air offered three weekly flights with a stop in Chicago. Today, the airline operates daily flights, enhancing business, tourism, and cultural exchange between the two countries.

Atlanta plays a major role in Korean industrial investment. Korean industries in the city include automotive, battery, and electric vehicle sectors. Travelers also enjoy easy connections to destinations across the Americas via Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta, a global hub. The airline remains committed to delivering exceptional service and connectivity for many years.
