The program began with flights from Seoul to Tokyo in August 2024 and continues until August 2025. Korean Air tested fuel blends that combine SAF with conventional jet fuel. SAF, produced from renewable sources such as used cooking oil, lowers emissions by up to 80% across its lifecycle.
