Lufthansa is enhancing its network with exciting new flight options from Berlin Brandenburg Airport (BER). Starting October 28, SWISS, part of the Lufthansa Group, will operate a daily flight from Berlin to Geneva. This move strengthens Lufthansa’s presence in the capital, improving connectivity to Switzerland. Additionally, Eurowings, another subsidiary of Lufthansa, continues to expand at BER, offering a broader range of destinations.
Eurowings Expands Reach Across Europe and the Gulf
Lufthansa’s low-cost carrier, Eurowings, has been significantly growing its operations at Berlin Brandenburg Airport. Over the last six months, Eurowings added 30 destinations across Europe and the Gulf region, doubling passenger numbers since the pandemic. This year-long expansion shows Lufthansa’s commitment to providing more flight options from Berlin.
Eurowings Resumes Dubai Flights and Adds New Routes
Next winter, Eurowings will resume nonstop flights from Berlin to Dubai. Initially operating four days a week, this route will now run daily, thanks to high demand. Eurowings will also base a seventh aircraft at BER to accommodate these new services. Furthermore, the airline plans to launch three weekly flights to Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, with more routes from Berlin expected in 2025.

Lufthansa remains the leading airline group at BER, operating around 27 percent of all flights. With approximately 500 weekly flights, Lufthansa and its subsidiaries—Austrian, Brussels Airlines, Eurowings, and SWISS—provide connections to 36 destinations directly from Berlin.
