Lufthansa is elevating long-haul travel by expanding its Allegris cabin experience. As part of its ongoing commitment to premium service, the airline will introduce this luxurious cabin on flights from Munich to San Diego, Newark, and Charlotte in 2025. With this expansion, Lufthansa nearly doubles the availability of its most comfortable in-flight experience.
Since launching Allegris last year, Lufthansa has continued setting new standards in air travel. Initially, the airline offered this service on select long-haul routes. However, it is now bringing Allegris to even more U.S. destinations. Starting March 30, 2025, Munich flights to San Diego will feature the upgraded cabin. Shortly after, Newark follows on April 15, and Charlotte joins in August. As a result, more passengers will soon enjoy Lufthansa’s state-of-the-art in-flight amenities.
In addition to these new routes, Lufthansa is also rolling out Allegris on flights to Chicago, San Francisco, and Shanghai. Furthermore, the airline has already introduced this premium cabin on its Munich–Bengaluru route, improving the passenger experience on key international flights. However, flights from Frankfurt still use older aircraft, which unfortunately lack the Allegris upgrade.
Onboard, Lufthansa’s Allegris cabin completely transforms air travel with four distinct seating options. Not only does the Airbus A350-900 feature an ultra-premium First Class, but it also offers an advanced Business Class with customizable seating. Additionally, a redesigned Premium Economy ensures extra comfort, while Economy Class features an improved seating layout. Therefore, every passenger benefits from an enhanced travel experience.
Despite facing aircraft delivery challenges, Lufthansa remains committed to expanding Allegris across its fleet. Although regulatory delays have slowed the rollout, particularly with the Boeing 787-9, the airline continues to push forward. Eventually, as more aircraft receive the Allegris upgrade, Lufthansa will redefine premium air travel on major international routes.
Passengers flying from Munich to San Diego, Newark, and Charlotte can expect a superior travel experience in 2025. With innovation at its core, Lufthansa ensures that luxury and comfort remain at the heart of its global expansion.
