Air travel across the US faces major disruptions today, with over 4,000 delays. Foggy weather and poor visibility cause issues at several airports, especially Chicago O’Hare. Airlines like United, American, Lufthansa, Emirates, Qatar, and Delta struggle with delays and cancellations.

O’Hare reports 259 delayed flights and 15 cancellations due to thick fog. United Airlines, a major hub operator there, faces delays on domestic and international flights. American Airlines also struggles, with delays on flights to Dallas-Fort Worth, Miami, and New York. Lufthansa, Emirates, and Qatar Airways face delays on their flights to Europe and the Middle East.

The disruption spreads beyond O’Hare. Dallas-Fort Worth International reports 372 delays and 12 cancellations, with fog impacting operations. American Airlines, based at DFW, experiences slowdowns. Travelers across the US deal with the ripple effects, as delays spread to other airports.

Budget airlines like Spirit and Frontier also face delays, especially on domestic and leisure routes. Alaska Airlines, JetBlue, and Air Canada also experience delays, affecting flights to Canada, Mexico, and the Caribbean.

If you’re traveling today, stay updated on your flight’s status. Check your airline’s app or website regularly. Arrive early at the airport and be ready for delays or cancellations. Weather should improve soon, but stay flexible while airlines manage the disruptions.
