Brussels Airlines prepares for its busiest summer as it expects over two million travelers in July and August 2025. With demand soaring, the airline took bold steps to boost operations and maintain a smooth travel experience. As a result, Brussels Airlines strengthened its summer strategy with a larger fleet and more trained staff.

To handle this sharp rise, the airline added new aircraft, including leased Airbus A220s. It also introduced more A320 and A330 jets to increase seat availability. Consequently, its fleet now totals 50 aircraft—six more than last year. Alongside fleet growth, Brussels Airlines expanded its workforce. It has welcomed 300 new employees since January, including pilots, cabin crew, and ground staff. Moreover, 47 trained interns now serve as full crew members after passing airline-standard training.

As travelers head off for summer vacations, Brussels Airlines connects them to top destinations. Spain leads with many popular cities, followed closely by Italy and Greece. On long-haul routes, demand continues to grow for New York and Kinshasa. Therefore, the airline adjusted its route schedule to match passenger interest.

Meanwhile, Brussels Airlines improved the airport experience as well. It doubled the number of self-service bag drop stations at Brussels Airport. In addition, it offers free check-in for cabin bags, which reduces delays at the gate. These efforts help passengers avoid liquid rules and enjoy faster boarding. Furthermore, these updates ease pressure during peak airport hours.
