Delta Air Lines is making a bold move this winter by doubling its flights between Seattle-Tacoma International Airport and London Heathrow. Starting October 25, 2025, the airline will operate two daily flights instead of one, offering more travel options for passengers. This expansion meets the growing demand from both business and leisure travelers seeking flexible schedules.
By adding this second daily flight, Delta Air Lines will provide 3,528 seats per week, significantly increasing capacity on this transatlantic route. The move strengthens Delta’s presence in Seattle and challenges competitors like British Airways and Virgin Atlantic. British Airways currently operates ten weekly flights on this route, while Virgin Atlantic’s future remains uncertain. Some industry experts speculate that Virgin may withdraw from Seattle, allowing Delta to dominate this market.
Last winter, Delta Air Lines reduced flights on this route due to seasonal demand. However, the airline is now committing to a stronger winter schedule, ensuring year-round connectivity. The increased flights signal a long-term investment in the Seattle-London market.
As Delta continues to expand its transatlantic reach, travelers will benefit from more choices and better service. The competition between Delta, British Airways, and potentially Virgin Atlantic will shape the future of this key international route.
