More Luxury in the Sky: Qantas Expands A380 Flights Between Sydney and Singapore

Qantas is ramping up its international services by adding a second daily Airbus A380 flight between Sydney and Singapore during the busy travel window from mid-June to early August 2025. This bold move aims to meet growing demand and enhance premium travel experiences on one of its most popular Asian routes. The increased frequency adds crucial capacity and strengthens Qantas’ position in the Asia-Pacific market.

The new A380 service will fly up to six times per week and offers more business and premium economy seats than ever before. Passengers can now expect greater flexibility and availability during peak travel periods. With the aircraft boasting 14 first-class suites, 70 business seats, 60 premium economy spots, and 341 economy seats, travelers gain more choices across all cabin classes.

Qantas restructured its fleet after ending a lease with Finnair. That decision freed up one of its own A380s to handle the expanded service. The move not only boosts capacity but also delivers a more refined onboard experience with spacious seating and improved amenities.

The added flights perfectly complement Qantas’ existing Sydney–Singapore operations. The new morning departure provides more convenient options for both business and leisure travelers heading to Southeast Asia. The schedule also supports seamless evening returns to Australia.

Singapore remains a vital part of Qantas’ global network. The city links to other major Australian cities and serves as a gateway to Europe. This added capacity will support both point-to-point traffic and connecting passengers heading to destinations beyond Singapore.

Travelers can expect more competitive fares thanks to the increased seat supply. Frequent flyers will also enjoy better redemption options. This network boost is just one part of Qantas’ broader growth plan across domestic and international routes.
