Norse Atlantic Airways will begin operations at John F. Kennedy International Airport’s new Terminal 6 (T6) in 2026. This move aligns with a $19 billion project by the Port Authority of New York and New Jersey. The plan aims to transform JFK into a world-class airport, adding new terminals and improving facilities.
Currently the 15th largest airline at JFK, Norse Atlantic flies nonstop from Terminal 7 to major European cities. Destinations include London Gatwick, Berlin, Paris, and Rome. The airline uses Boeing 787 Dreamliners and offers Economy and Premium cabins. Since starting operations in 2023, it now offers up to six daily flights during the 2024 summer peak.
At T6, passengers will enjoy a modern, digital-first design. The terminal’s layout ensures passengers can reach any gate in just five minutes after TSA security. T6 will feature over 100,000 square feet of shopping, dining, and lounge space. It will also include sustainable features like rooftop solar panels and energy-efficient systems.
The terminal’s advanced baggage systems, TSA screening technologies, and focus on sustainability will enhance the travel experience. Norse Atlantic’s move to T6 is a key step in its growth. It also strengthens JFK’s role as a top global airport.
Terminal 6 will open in phases. The first six gates will be ready in 2026, with the remaining four to open by 2028. Norse Atlantic’s presence at T6 is a sign of its commitment to offering better travel experiences and expanding its services.
