Now Flying Farther: Cathay Pacific Reconnects Singapore, NZ & Adelaide—Global Reach Expands

Cathay Pacific will relaunch its direct Hong Kong to Adelaide flights on November 11, 2025. Therefore, travelers from Singapore and New Zealand can enjoy better access to South Australia. Moreover, the restart comes right before the northern winter rush, making the timing perfect for inbound travel.

The airline will operate three weekly flights using the Airbus A350-900. In fact, this aircraft delivers efficiency, range, and comfort across Business, Premium Economy, and Economy. As a result, passengers can reach South Australia smoothly through Cathay Pacific’s Hong Kong hub.

Adelaide, after a four-year break, now rejoins Cathay Pacific’s Australian network. Not only does this include Sydney and Melbourne, but also Brisbane and Perth. Consequently, travelers will benefit from more options for international travel.

Meanwhile, Cathay Pacific continues expanding globally. For example, it has launched new routes to Dallas, Hyderabad, and Munich. The Dallas route, which is the longest, connects to American Airlines’ vast US network. Thus, travelers from Adelaide can easily reach key American cities.

Furthermore, Adelaide Airport is seeing more international interest. Although domestic traffic dominates, international growth is steady. In 2024, destinations like Singapore and Auckland showed strong numbers. Because of this, adding Hong Kong to the mix strengthens Adelaide’s global links.

In addition, United Airlines plans to fly from San Francisco to Adelaide by December 2025. American Airlines will also boost its presence in the region. As a result, Adelaide is becoming a rising hub for international travel.

In conclusion, Cathay Pacific’s return signals renewed confidence in South Australia’s aviation future. With more airlines joining in, Adelaide now sits at the center of a growing global network.
