Oman Air has launched an ambitious plan to expand its global presence and strengthen customer loyalty. The airline recently deepened its cooperation with Turkish Airlines, creating more travel rewards and broader opportunities for frequent flyers. This partnership gives members of the Sindbad program seamless access to new destinations while maximizing travel value.

The airline also advanced its global status by joining the Oneworld alliance. This membership connects passengers to more than 900 destinations across over 170 countries. Oman Air now delivers a stronger loyalty program while also offering travelers more flexibility and wider route options. The combined benefits of alliances and partnerships ensure stronger brand recognition in international markets.

Oman Air is also restructuring operations to improve financial performance after years of losses. The carrier has cut unprofitable routes and launched new ones in Europe, including Rome and Amsterdam. It has boosted capacity to major hubs like Moscow and London, with plans for daily double flights to London by 2026. These moves create stronger links for business and leisure travelers.

The airline’s network growth directly supports Oman’s tourism and economy. More passengers are now flying directly to Oman, doubling rates compared to regional rivals. This surge in arrivals boosted hotel revenues by over 17 percent in early 2025. The trend highlights the airline’s role as a key driver of tourism growth in the Sultanate.

Oman Air also introduced Oman Air Holidays, a digital travel platform built with global partner TUI. The platform sells complete vacation packages to more than 20 destinations, aligning with rising demand for full-service travel experiences. This new service shows the airline’s push to position itself as more than just a carrier.

Through partnerships, alliances, and a clear restructuring plan, Oman Air is turning challenges into opportunities. Its strategy creates value for passengers while also fueling tourism growth and strengthening the economy of Oman.
