Ontario International Airport (ONT) has recently celebrated a significant milestone with the completion of a $90 million runway rehabilitation project. This extensive upgrade aims to enhance safety and efficiency for the millions of travelers who depend on this airport each year. The successful completion of this project resulted from substantial federal support, which covered two-thirds of the costs through grants from the Federal Aviation Administration’s Airport Improvement Program. Specifically, ONT received $67 million to fund these upgrades, while the remaining costs came from airport-generated revenue. The airport also secured an additional $4 million for design and rehabilitation work on the northernmost runway.
