Philippine Airlines Elevates Cebu: More Flights, Bigger Planes, Better Travel!

Philippine Airlines is making big moves to enhance travel from Cebu. The airline is adding more flights, upgrading to larger planes, and introducing new international routes. Since travel demand is soaring, this expansion aims to give passengers more convenience and flexibility.

Starting this month, Philippine Airlines will boost its domestic flights by 10%. In response to growing demand, the airline is adding 287 weekly round-trip flights through Mactan-Cebu International Airport. Furthermore, smaller planes will be replaced with spacious 199-seat aircraft. As a result, this change will create 39,000 extra seats, giving passengers better travel options.

The timing of this expansion is perfect. With summer around the corner, Philippine Airlines is increasing flights to top tourist destinations. For instance, the Cebu-Boracay route will grow from 14 to 21 weekly departures. Meanwhile, Cebu-Siargao flights will rise from 18 to 26 per week. Consequently, these changes will allow travelers to visit stunning beach destinations with more ease.

Similarly, travelers heading to Palawan will also benefit. Philippine Airlines will double its weekly flights from Cebu to Puerto Princesa, increasing them from seven to 14. Additionally, flights to Coron will go up from 14 to 17 per week. As a result, these adjustments will give tourists more opportunities to explore Palawan’s breathtaking scenery.

On the international front, Philippine Airlines is introducing a new route to Ho Chi Minh City in May. Because of this addition, Cebu will now connect directly to Vietnam’s dynamic business and cultural hub. Moreover, the airline continues to expand its international network, offering more choices for travelers exploring Asia and beyond.

Currently, Philippine Airlines links Cebu to 31 domestic and 37 international destinations. Therefore, by strengthening its Cebu operations, the airline is supporting tourism, business growth, and seamless travel. With bigger planes, more flights, and new routes, passengers can expect better service and greater flexibility.
