Ryanair Expands Reach with New Madrid-Dakhla Route

Ryanair launched a new air route, connecting Madrid with Dakhla. This move boosts travel options between Spain and Morocco, improving regional accessibility. The service runs twice weekly, with flights on Wednesdays and Saturdays, catering to tourists and the Moroccan diaspora.

The inaugural flight arrived at Dakhla Airport, bringing tourists and Moroccan expatriates. This development stems from a partnership between Ryanair and the Moroccan National Tourist Office (ONMT), aimed at enhancing air connectivity and promoting tourism. The initiative strengthens ties between the two nations.

The launch event celebrated this milestone, gathering tourism stakeholders and local leaders. Ryanair now joins Royal Air Maroc, Binter Canarias, and Transavia as the fourth airline introducing a direct route to Dakhla through the ONMT partnership. This collaboration underscores Morocco’s commitment to boosting tourism, especially in the southern regions.

In January, Ryanair will add another route, linking Dakhla with Lanzarote in the Canary Islands. This service will also operate twice a week, offering travelers more options to explore both destinations.

This expansion supports Morocco’s ambitious tourism strategy, which aims to increase visitor numbers significantly. Morocco recorded nearly 16 million tourist arrivals this year and plans to attract 17 million more by 2026, targeting 26 million visitors by 2030.

Ryanair’s network expansion enhances connectivity and supports Morocco’s tourism goals. These new routes facilitate travel and contribute to regional economic growth.
