Saudia achieved outstanding growth in 2024, cementing its position as a leader in the aviation industry. The airline successfully carried 20 million international passengers, a 16% increase from 2023, underscoring its commitment to expanding global connections. This remarkable achievement aligns with Saudi Arabia’s Vision 2030, which emphasizes tourism, entertainment, and sports, as well as enhancing services for Hajj and Umrah pilgrims.
Throughout 2024, Saudia saw a substantial increase in its global reach. The airline operated 193,000 flights, reflecting a 10% year-over-year growth. Additionally, Saudia flew more than 35 million passengers, a 15% rise compared to the previous year. The airline’s on-time performance reached 89.1%, a 2.7% improvement. These accomplishments highlight Saudia’s role in connecting Saudi Arabia to the rest of the world, enhancing its accessibility for both tourism and business travel.
Saudia’s digital transformation also made impressive strides. The airline’s app engagement grew by 40%, and the use of the Government Digital Wallet (GovClick) soared by 324%, enhancing the overall travel experience. This growth reflects the airline’s dedication to providing a seamless, modern service for its customers. With these technological advancements, Saudia is poised to redefine convenience for air travelers.
Looking ahead, Saudia plans to expand its fleet and extend its international network. The airline currently operates 147 aircraft, with 118 new planes set to join its fleet in the coming years. This expansion will strengthen Saudia’s position as a leading airline and further promote Saudi Arabia as a global hub for travel and tourism.
