Scoot, the low-cost carrier of Singapore Airlines (SIA), is expanding its network. With this move, the airline offers more affordable travel options to exciting destinations across Asia. The new routes connect Singapore to Phu Quoc, Vietnam, Padang, Indonesia, and Shantou, China. This expansion strengthens Scoot’s presence in Asia, making it easier for travelers to visit vibrant cities.
The service to Phu Quoc will begin on December 20, 2024. Additionally, it stands out as Vietnam’s only destination with a 30-day visa-free entry for international visitors. Therefore, Phu Quoc is becoming a popular choice among travelers. Initially, Scoot will operate three flights per week. However, starting January 25, 2025, this frequency will increase to five weekly flights, improving connectivity between Singapore and Phu Quoc.
On January 6, 2025, Scoot will launch flights to Padang, Indonesia. This city is growing as a popular destination for both leisure and business travel. Furthermore, on January 16, 2025, flights to Shantou will also begin, expanding Scoot’s network even further. The airline will use Embraer E190-E2 aircraft for Phu Quoc and Padang services. Meanwhile, the Airbus A320 family will operate flights to Shantou.
Scoot is known for offering budget-friendly travel without compromising comfort. The airline continues to prioritize affordable options for its passengers. By doing so, it makes travel more accessible to people across the region. With these new routes, Scoot ensures that passengers can experience more of Asia for less.
Whether traveling for business or pleasure, Scoot’s new routes offer fantastic opportunities. Therefore, travelers can now enjoy more options and great value.
