Travelers flying with Singapore Airlines now have a new way to check in before reaching the airport. The airline has introduced an in-town check-in service at Hong Kong MTR Station, making air travel more convenient. Passengers can now drop off their luggage and complete check-in procedures at the station, allowing them to explore the city freely before heading to the airport.
With this new addition, Singapore Airlines joins other major carriers offering this service at Hong Kong Station. Passengers no longer need to carry heavy bags while waiting for their flight. Instead, they can enjoy shopping, dining, or sightseeing without any hassle. The service became available on February 24, providing an extra layer of comfort for travelers.
Using this facility is simple. Travelers with an Octopus card or an Airport Express ticket can access self-service kiosks or baggage drop stations. Those with e-passports or Mainland Travel Permits must check in at the designated counters. Once check-in is complete, they can take the Airport Express for a smooth journey to the airport.
This service is available daily from 9:00 AM to 5:20 PM. Passengers flying between 24 hours and 90 minutes before departure can take advantage of this feature. However, it is currently limited to Hong Kong Station, unlike other airlines that provide check-in at multiple locations.
Singapore Airlines travelers benefit from this seamless check-in experience, which enhances their pre-flight journey. The Airport Express ensures a quick 25-minute ride to the airport, making the process even more efficient. As MTR continues expanding in-town check-in services, more airlines may join this initiative, further improving convenience for air travelers.
