Singapore Airlines Leads with Innovative Paperless MRO Facility in Malaysia

Singapore Airlines has achieved a significant breakthrough in aircraft maintenance with the launch of its new paperless MRO facility in Malaysia. The Base Maintenance Malaysia (BMM) facility will operate with Trax’s eMRO and eMobility solutions, making all workflows digital. This will streamline maintenance operations, from planning to task execution, ensuring greater efficiency and speed.

The integration of mobile and cloud-based technology by SIA Engineering Company (SIAEC) reinforces its position as a leader in the aviation maintenance sector. Trax’s TaskControl application eliminates paper-based workflows, allowing maintenance teams to work faster and more accurately. This innovation speeds up the maintenance cycle, improving overall operational efficiency.

Additionally, Trax’s Production Control application will optimize workforce management by improving manpower allocation and planning. The facility will benefit from real-time inventory management, which provides instant updates on parts availability and tool usage, minimizing delays. Furthermore, eMRO simplifies financial processes by integrating digital invoicing and contract administration, promoting transparency and reducing administrative work.

Trax, a subsidiary of AAR CORP, specializes in providing advanced aviation maintenance solutions. Their products enable paperless workflows, digital signatures, and RFID logistics, offering seamless maintenance operations globally. With this cutting-edge technology, Singapore Airlines is setting new industry standards for MRO facilities in the Asia-Pacific region.
