As a result, interest in the airline’s potential acquisition strategy has surged. JetBlue and Breeze Airways have emerged as possible targets. This speculation follows significant financial restructuring and operational changes at Southwest.

The possibility of Southwest Airlines acquiring another carrier is not new. For months, industry experts have debated this idea.
