In a strategic move to enhance the overall flying experience, Spirit Airlines has announced the introduction of new fare options designed to provide increased comfort and flexibility for passengers. This initiative reflects the airline’s commitment to offering a friendlier, more comfortable, and cost-effective journey for travelers.
The new fare options, set to launch on August 16, will cater to different passenger preferences and needs. Among the offerings are:
- Go Big: This premium fare bundle includes exclusive perks such as Big Front Seats, complimentary snacks and beverages (including alcoholic drinks), one checked bag, one carry-on bag, priority check-in and boarding, and complimentary Wi-Fi. While some features will be available immediately, others, like free onboard refreshments and priority check-in, will be rolled out on August 27.
- Go Comfy: A brand-new fare option that guarantees a blocked middle seat, along with a checked bag, a carry-on bag, priority boarding, and complimentary snacks and non-alcoholic beverages. Passengers opting for this bundle can expect an enhanced airport and onboard experience starting August 27.
- Go Savvy: This fare bundle offers the flexibility of choosing between a checked bag or a carry-on bag as part of the ticket price, providing passengers with more control over their travel preferences. The Go Savvy option will be available for purchase from August 16.
- Go: For those seeking a more unbundled fare option, Spirit will continue to offer the “Go” branding, allowing passengers to customize their travel experience by selecting add-ons for an additional charge.
In addition to the new fare options, Spirit Airlines will also implement a revamped boarding process effective August 27. The new system will feature five boarding groups, with priority boarding granted to travelers who have booked Go Big or Go Comfy fares, elite frequent flyer program members, Free Spirit World Elite Mastercard holders, and active-duty military personnel. This streamlined boarding process aims to reduce overall boarding time and improve the airline’s on-time performance.
Furthermore, starting August 27, priority check-in services will be available for Go Big fare passengers, as well as gold elites in the Free Spirit frequent flyer program and Free Spirit World Elite Mastercard holders at select airports, including Atlanta, Dallas-Fort Worth, Fort Lauderdale, New York (LGA), Newark, and Orlando.
Spirit Airlines’ innovative approach to enhancing the passenger experience underscores its dedication to meeting the evolving needs of modern travelers. By offering a range of fare options and improved services, the airline is poised to deliver a more personalized and enjoyable journey for its customers.
