Brussels Airlines expands its network to sub-Saharan Africa for Summer 2025. The airline boosts its capacity by 10%, launching new routes and improving services to solidify its role as a European-African connector.
The airline will add an 11th long-haul aircraft by June 2025. With this, Brussels Airlines will offer 56 weekly flights to Africa. This increase will make it a top choice for travelers flying between Europe and Africa.
Brussels Airlines will offer daily flights to Nairobi, Kenya, and Accra, Ghana. The airline also adds more flights to Banjul (Gambia), Freetown (Sierra Leone), and Conakry (Guinea), giving passengers more flexibility.
Starting March 2025, Brussels Airlines will operate daily direct flights to Kinshasa, Democratic Republic of the Congo. This eliminates the previous stop in Luanda, Angola, shortening travel time. The airline’s focus on Kinshasa shows its strong ties to the region. Brussels Airlines will transfer its Luanda service to Lufthansa Group. Lufthansa will operate three weekly direct flights between Luanda and Frankfurt starting March 2025.
Brussels Airlines plans to expand its long-haul fleet to 13 aircraft by 2027. The airline will also refresh its cabin with new Business Class, Premium Economy, and Economy options.
This expansion highlights its role as a key link between Europe and Africa for both business and leisure travelers. Brussels Airlines’ updates promise greater convenience, comfort, and sustainability for travelers flying between Europe and sub-Saharan Africa.
