Switzerland to Belgrade, Direct Again: Air Serbia Makes Travel Easier

Air Serbia has reignited a vital travel route by resuming direct flights between Belgrade and Geneva. This move responds to the rising demand from the Western Balkans diaspora and curious European travelers. The route started again on June 23, 2025, and now runs three times a week. During the busy summer season, the airline will add a fourth Sunday flight. This extra frequency caters to weekend visitors and returning family travelers, making trips more convenient than ever.

This revived link not only reconnects Serbia and Switzerland but also fuels stronger regional ties. Many Serbian nationals live in Switzerland and often visit home for personal or cultural reasons. Air Serbia now offers them a quicker, direct route. Moreover, tourists from both countries will enjoy easier access to scenic destinations, cultural events, and business opportunities. The Belgrade hub allows travelers to reach other major European cities with ease, including Istanbul and Vienna.

Geneva stands tall as a global city of diplomacy, finance, and tourism. Its natural beauty and rich architecture draw thousands each year. At the same time, Belgrade attracts Swiss visitors with its charm, history, and affordability. This exchange strengthens both countries’ travel and tourism sectors.

Air Serbia continues its expansion strategy by restoring high-demand routes like this one. With its modern fleet and customer-first approach, the airline aims to become a key player in European air travel. The use of Airbus A319 aircraft ensures a comfortable journey for every passenger. Fare options remain flexible, appealing to both budget and premium travelers.

The direct Belgrade–Geneva flights also support economic ties. Better air access encourages business cooperation, trade, and tourism growth. Serbia and Switzerland both stand to gain from this reliable connection. If the current demand continues, Air Serbia may soon expand this route or add new Western European destinations.
