As global travel demand rises, TAP Air Portugal accelerates network expansion across Europe and South America. Consequently, TAP Air Portugal strengthens Portugal’s position as a major international aviation hub. Moreover, these strategic routes improve mobility for leisure and business travelers alike.

From July 2026, TAP Air Portugal launches direct flights between Lisbon and Athens. As a result, travelers enjoy five weekly services between two historic capitals. Additionally, nonstop flights reduce travel time and improve convenience across Southern Europe.

During summer months, Airbus A320neo aircraft operate the Lisbon–Athens route. Therefore, passengers experience improved fuel efficiency and onboard comfort. During winter, Embraer E190 jets support consistent service with optimized short-haul performance.

Beyond Europe, TAP Air Portugal introduces a new Lisbon–Curitiba route starting July 2026. Consequently, the airline strengthens direct Europe–Brazil connectivity. Additionally, Airbus A330 aircraft support three weekly flights on this transatlantic service.

Through triangular routing, flights connect Lisbon, Curitiba, and Rio de Janeiro efficiently. As a result, travelers access multiple Brazilian cities within one itinerary. Furthermore, Curitiba attracts European visitors through innovation, green spaces, and strong business sectors.

Brazilian travelers also benefit from easier access to Portugal and neighboring European destinations. Therefore, business travel supports sectors including technology, manufacturing, and events. Moreover, tourism growth strengthens economic ties between both regions.

With Curitiba included, TAP Air Portugal serves fourteen destinations across Brazil. Consequently, the airline leads European connectivity within the Brazilian market. Additionally, rising capacity supports growing leisure and corporate travel demand.

From Porto, TAP Air Portugal expands services to the Azores, Cape Verde, Boston, and Tel Aviv. As a result, travelers gain broader year-round and long-haul options. Furthermore, these routes elevate Portugal’s global hub role.

Overall, these expansions improve tourism flows, trade opportunities, and cultural exchange. Therefore, TAP Air Portugal reinforces long-term global connectivity through focused route development.
