TAP Just Made the Brazil–Europe Trip Simple — One Flight, Zero Headaches

TAP Air Portugal will significantly boost Brazil-Europe air travel by launching a new Lisbon–Curitiba route in July 2026. Moreover, the airline will operate three weekly flights linking Lisbon, Curitiba, and Rio de Janeiro. Consequently, this expansion strengthens TAP Air Portugal’s leadership in South America and enhances travel between Europe and Brazil’s growing southern region.

Additionally, the new route expands TAP Air Portugal’s Brazilian network to fourteen destinations, more than any other European airline. Therefore, this move highlights the carrier’s ongoing commitment to bridging economic, business, and cultural ties between both continents. In turn, the Lisbon–Curitiba route will make travel smoother for tourists and business passengers seeking comfort and direct access to Europe’s main hubs.

Furthermore, Curitiba—known for its innovation and sustainable urban design—will gain increased global exposure through this connection. As a result, European travelers can reach southern Brazil faster and explore its culture, landscapes, and attractions. At the same time, this new access gives Brazilian industries direct links to European markets, encouraging stronger trade, tourism, and investment growth.

In addition, TAP Air Portugal will operate the 269-seat Airbus A330-200 for this route, ensuring both efficiency and comfort. The triangular flight path—Lisbon to Curitiba to Rio de Janeiro—also offers flexible travel options for leisure and business travelers alike. Consequently, this schedule enhances transatlantic connectivity and strengthens the airline’s reputation for reliability and premium service.

Ultimately, this network expansion addresses rising demand for cross-continental travel while reinforcing TAP Air Portugal’s position in Brazil’s aviation market. The airline continues to expand strategically, targeting emerging destinations such as Curitiba. Through this growth, TAP Air Portugal not only connects continents but also drives sustainable tourism, trade, and innovation between Europe and South America.
