United Airlines Launches Direct Denver-Rome Flights

United Airlines expands its global reach with a nonstop flight from Denver to Rome. The service will operate from May 1 to September 24, 2025, highlighting Denver International Airport’s (DEN) growing role as a global hub. This new route and other expansions provide Denver travelers with more direct flight options worldwide.

United Airlines also introduces eight new domestic destinations from Denver, enhancing its network. These additions show the airline’s commitment to offering a wide range of travel options, both short- and long-haul. The airline will use various aircraft like the Boeing 737-800, Embraer 175, and Boeing 787-9 for these routes, meeting diverse travel needs.

The Denver-to-Rome flight will use the Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner, with over 250 seats. It features 48 lie-flat Polaris business class seats for added comfort. The route covers 5,563 miles and connects Denver with Leonardo da Vinci International Airport in about 10 hours. With three weekly flights, this service provides easier access to Italy for business and leisure travelers.

United expands beyond international routes with new domestic connections from Denver. These flights will link underserved areas like Buffalo and Wilmington directly to the airport. Some routes will face competition, but United operates exclusively on others, strengthening its position in these markets.

As the holiday travel season begins, DEN expects a surge in passenger traffic. Over 811,000 travelers will pass through TSA checkpoints during the December holiday period. With these new routes, United Airlines and Denver International Airport are ready for the increased demand, continuing to improve the passenger experience.
