United Airlines has introduced major changes to its lounge access policies. The airline now offers two membership tiers, updated guest policies, and time restrictions. These changes aim to improve the lounge experience and ensure smoother operations.
Travelers can now choose between an individual membership or an All Access plan. The individual membership allows unlimited lounge visits but requires an extra fee for guests. The All Access plan includes guest privileges and entry to partner lounges. United Airlines offers discounts on this premium membership for elite flyers.
Credit card holders also benefit from lounge access. Select United Airlines credit cards to provide complimentary club entry with a guest. Cardholders can upgrade to an All Access membership by earning Premier Gold status or spending $50,000 annually. This makes credit cards an attractive alternative to purchasing membership directly.
United Airlines has also introduced a three-hour time limit for one-time lounge passes. This policy prevents long stays before flights. However, travelers with membership or premium cabin tickets can still enter without restrictions. The airline has also restricted one-time passes at grab-and-go Club Fly locations.
These updates reshape lounge access without making drastic cuts. Unlike other airlines that limit annual visits, United Airlines still offers frequent travelers plenty of options. While higher membership fees and reduced guest privileges may affect some, credit card holders still enjoy valuable perks. These updates balance exclusivity and accessibility, making lounges more efficient for all passengers.
