United Airlines will soon introduce a nonstop route between Tokyo, Japan, and Koror, Palau, starting in October 2025. This move strengthens United’s dominance as the sole U.S. carrier serving Palau, marking a significant step in its expansion into the Pacific.
On October 29, 2025, United will launch this year-round service from Tokyo Narita (NRT) to Koror. The airline will operate twice-weekly flights, offering a direct, uninterrupted connection between Japan and the remote island of Koror. This addition expands United’s network in Asia, bringing greater accessibility to one of the world’s most isolated destinations.
United will use its Boeing 737-800 aircraft for the route. These planes will offer both comfort and efficiency, connecting passengers to five major U.S. cities via United’s transpacific routes. This direct flight marks an essential development for Koror, which currently lacks nonstop flights from Tokyo. Travelers must otherwise take connecting flights.
By adding this nonstop service, United becomes the exclusive carrier on the route. The new flight to Palau, along with existing services to Manila and Guam, will provide more travel options for visitors to the island nation.
This new service is part of United Airlines’ broader plan to expand its Asia-Pacific network. Recent efforts include launching new routes to Ulaanbaatar and Kaohsiung, further strengthening United’s presence across the region.
