United Upgrades Regional Jets with Starlink for Faster Wi-Fi

United Airlines is improving air travel by adding Starlink’s fast Wi-Fi to its regional planes. The airline has started installing the system and plans to add it to over 40 planes each month. By the end of 2025, all regional planes will have Starlink, giving passengers better internet. This upgrade will also make plane maintenance easier and improve daily operations.

The setup process is quick, taking just eight hours per plane. Unlike older systems, this one does not need the removal of current equipment or changes to the aircraft. United Airlines ensures planes return to service in four days, much faster than the usual ten days.

Starlink’s design boosts both performance and efficiency. Weighing only 85 pounds, it makes the plane lighter, helping save fuel. The system’s antennas have no moving parts, making setup easier and more reliable. These features help United Airlines lower costs while making flights smoother for travelers.

Passengers will enjoy internet speeds of up to 250 Mbps, allowing them to browse, stream, and stay connected without delays. This upgrade is much better than current speeds and ensures a hassle-free online experience. Starlink’s satellite network also keeps the connection steady, even in bad weather.

United Airlines is focused on giving passengers a great travel experience while making its planes run better. Faster Wi-Fi, easy maintenance, and fuel savings make Starlink a game-changer. By 2025, the airline plans to have it on all its planes, setting a new standard for in-flight internet.
