Vietjet expands its Vietnam-China air travel network with new direct flights from Hanoi to Chengdu and Xi’an. These nonstop routes start operating in July 2025, each offering four weekly round trips. By adding these connections, Vietjet enhances its growing presence in the Asia-Pacific air travel market. Travelers benefit from easier and more affordable options when flying between Vietnam and China, as well as improved access for passengers from Singapore and nearby countries through Vietnam’s main hubs.
In recent months, Vietjet introduced several new routes connecting Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City to major Chinese cities like Beijing, Guangzhou, and Shanghai. The addition of Chengdu and Xi’an strengthens this network further. Both cities serve as vital economic and cultural centers in western China, experiencing rapid growth in tourism and commerce. These flights will promote stronger business ties and cultural exchange between Vietnam and these influential regions, contributing to regional development.
Besides expanding routes to China, Vietjet also broadens its reach across Asia. The airline launched direct flights between Singapore and Phu Quoc Island and began connecting Ho Chi Minh City with Indian cities Hyderabad and Bengaluru, as well as Japanese destinations Nagoya and Fukuoka. These steps demonstrate Vietjet’s commitment to increasing regional connectivity and offering travelers diverse flight options across Asia.
Vietjet’s modern fleet offers eco-friendly features and ensures passenger comfort with reliable service and authentic Vietnamese hospitality. The airline schedules these new Hanoi flights in the late evening to align with domestic connections, allowing smooth onward travel. Overall, these new routes strengthen Vietjet’s role in facilitating cost-effective travel, fostering economic cooperation, and supporting tourism growth between Vietnam and China.
