Vietnam Airlines will launch its new premium economy class on all domestic flights starting January 14, 2025. This service bridges the gap between economy and business class, offering passengers a more flexible travel option. It provides a comfortable, cost-effective upgrade across the airline’s domestic network.
The premium economy service offers several benefits for travelers who seek a refined experience. It combines comfort and affordability, making it an appealing choice for those seeking more than a standard economy ticket. Passengers can enjoy priority check-in and boarding, ensuring smoother airport procedures. They will also benefit from the same baggage allowance as business class: 12kg of hand luggage and 32kg for checked bags, with priority handling. On ATR-72 aircraft, however, hand luggage is limited to 7kg, and checked baggage is capped at 23kg due to aircraft limitations.
Premium economy passengers also gain access to business lounges, where available, or receive vouchers for airports without lounges. Additionally, they can make free flight changes or rebook on the same day. This flexibility adds value to the service. Furthermore, passengers can select their seats at no extra cost, offering a more personalized experience.
The premium economy cabins are located behind business class, providing a quiet and exclusive space. On selected routes, meal options will surpass typical economy fare, adding to the value. Entertainment includes personal screens on Airbus A350 and Boeing 787 planes, and wireless streaming on Airbus A320/A321. Passengers will also access digital newspapers through the Press Reader app.
