WestJet Partners with Northern Super League to Boost Women’s Soccer

WestJet has teamed up with the Northern Super League (NSL) to support Canada’s first professional women’s soccer league. As the league’s Official Airline Sponsor, WestJet will provide seamless travel for teams while also enhancing fan experiences. With this partnership, the airline strengthens its role in sports and helps elevate women’s soccer across the country.

Through this multi-year agreement, WestJet will handle travel for all six NSL clubs. As a result, players, coaches, and staff will enjoy smooth transportation, making it easier to compete nationwide. Furthermore, this collaboration improves athlete well-being by offering travel policies that accommodate family members. By simplifying travel, WestJet helps teams focus on performance while also connecting communities to the sport.

As excitement builds for the NSL’s first season, WestJet will gain major visibility in stadiums and digital platforms. Not only will fans attending matches see WestJet’s branding, but those watching on TSN, RDS, and CBC Sports will also notice its strong presence. Moreover, the airline will introduce fan engagement programs, including contests that offer flights and matchday experiences.

The NSL kicks off on April 16, 2025, with six teams from major Canadian cities. Specifically, Halifax Tides FC, Montreal Roses FC, Ottawa Rapid FC, AFC Toronto, Calgary Wild FC, and Vancouver Rise FC will compete for the first-ever title. Meanwhile, soccer fans eager to witness history can now purchase season tickets at NSL.ca.

This partnership reinforces WestJet’s commitment to sports, communities, and gender equality. Not only does the airline support the NSL, but it also invests in the future of women’s soccer while inspiring the next generation of athletes. Ultimately, WestJet’s involvement ensures fans across Canada can enjoy world-class soccer while teams benefit from seamless travel.
