British Airways has announced a reduction in flights between London and Delhi due to ongoing issues with the Rolls-Royce Trent 1000 engines used in its Boeing 787 aircraft. As the airline continues to face delays in engine delivery, it has revised its flight schedule for 2025.
Originally, British Airways had planned to operate three daily flights from London Heathrow to Delhi Indira Gandhi International Airport. However, the new schedule reveals that the airline will now offer only two daily flights between the two cities. This change will affect travel plans from April to October 2025.
The airline’s revised operations come as it grapples with persistent challenges surrounding the Trent 1000 engines, which have caused significant disruptions across various routes.
