Wings of Change 2024: Avianca and IATA Revolutionize Aviation in Bogotá

IATA chose Bogotá as the host city for the Wings of Change Americas (WOCA) 2024 conference. The event will take place on June 25–26 at the Grand Hyatt. Avianca will host the conference, focusing on boosting air connectivity, driving innovation, and promoting sustainable growth in aviation.

The theme, “The Connectivity Frontier: Exploring New Opportunities in the Region,” emphasizes collaboration between aviation players, governments, and stakeholders. Leaders will discuss strategies to strengthen air networks, use next-gen technologies, and adopt sustainable fuels. These discussions will lay the foundation for the region’s aviation future. The industry already supports millions of jobs and generates billions in GDP.

Bogotá, Colombia’s capital, has become a key aviation hub. The city’s aviation market has grown rapidly. It has contributed significantly to Colombia’s GDP and created thousands of jobs. Bogotá plays a central role in Latin American aviation.

Projections show a sharp increase in jobs and economic impact by 2043. WOCA 2024 will launch bold initiatives and solutions. Attendees will engage in meaningful dialogue and share a vision for sustainable aviation.
