This November, Delta Air Lines aims to maintain momentum after a record summer transatlantic schedule. As the airline prepares for an even busier 2025, it offers impressive service to 16 European destinations from various US airports. With nearly 1,600 departures planned, Delta provides over 418,000 seats each way this month.
Unsurprisingly, the airline’s busiest European routes connect to three major hubs: London Heathrow, Paris Charles de Gaulle, and Amsterdam Schiphol. Additionally, the extensive partnership with Air France-KLM and Virgin Atlantic significantly boosts traffic, as eight of Delta’s ten busiest routes land at these key airports. Furthermore, these hubs provide excellent connections to SkyTeam alliance partners, thereby enhancing travel options for SkyMiles members.
Leading the list is the route from Detroit Metropolitan Wayne to Amsterdam Schiphol. Notably, this route will operate 87 flights, offering 24,534 seats each way. Moreover, Delta utilizes the Airbus A330-300, ensuring a comfortable experience across three cabin classes. As a result, Amsterdam serves as a crucial hub for KLM, which further strengthens Delta’s network in Europe.
The next busiest route connects Atlanta Hartsfield-Jackson to Paris Charles de Gaulle. Specifically, this route will feature 18 weekly flights, which enhance access to Air France’s vast network of over 200 international destinations. Meanwhile, the Atlanta to London route ranks second for flight frequencies, as it includes 86 roundtrips scheduled this month.
In addition, New York JFK plays a significant role in Delta’s European service, with double-daily flights to Amsterdam and connections to several major cities, including Rome and Milan. Furthermore, the Atlanta to Amsterdam route solidifies Delta’s strategic partnership with KLM, effectively connecting customers across the Atlantic.
As Delta Air Lines gears up for next summer, it plans significant expansions. In fact, the airline will operate over 700 weekly flights to 33 destinations at its peak. Additionally, new routes like Detroit to Dublin and Atlanta to Naples will enhance its offerings. This growth illustrates Delta’s commitment to improving its transatlantic service while providing exceptional travel experiences for passengers.
